Kettle Kickoff

Help The Salvation Army kickoff our kettle season at the new Eagan East Cub Foods (map) with an event featuring volunteer opportunities, free refreshments and an on-air and online auction of Minnesota Wild collectibles autographed by players Mikko Koivu and James Sheppard.

Beginning at 6 a.m. KOOL 108 will broadcast live from the event. KARE 11 will provide live web-streaming throughout the day, including coverage of the 10am ceremony announcing the Christmas fundraising goal.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Sign up to be a volunteer bell ringer. For each hour of bell ringing that is registered during 40 Hours of Service, a $30 bag of groceries will be provided to a family in need.

Donate by visiting any Cub Foods and drop change in a kettle. Cub will provide up to $10,000 in matching funds for donations made to these kettles on Nov. 20.

Make a donation to the KOOL Kettle or call 1-800-SAL-ARMY.

40 HOURS OF SERVICE
The Kettle Kickoff will be held in conjunction with “40 Hours of Service,” a celebration to honor Cub Foods’ 40th anniversary that will include $40,000 in groceries for families in need.

For each hour of bell ringing registered during the 40 Hours, a $30 bag of groceries will be donated to the Salvation Army’s six food shelves. 40 Hours of Service runs Nov. 20 – 21 at the Eagan East Cub Foods.

Up to 1,300 of the grocery bags are available, a $40,000 value sponsored by Cargill, CHS, Land O’ Lakes and General Mills. Get more information on the kickoff and 40 Hours of Service.

The Salvation Army is proud to partner with Cub Foods. Last year The Salvation Army raised $848,200 in kettle donations at Cub Foods storefronts.

The kettle campaign begins throughout the metro area on Friday, Nov. 21 and runs through Dec. 24.
