Great Golf Tourneys Being Held Aug. 3 & 10
Are you a do-gooding golfer?
Then take your pick from two charitable golf tournaments being held in early August. Both feature fabulous food and a full day of golfing action at some of the Twin Cities finest courses, with proceeds benefitting The Salvation Army and other local programs.
The tournaments include:
Aug. 3 - Degree of Honor’s 15th Annual Charity Golf Tournament
Held at the Hill Crest Country Club in St. Paul, this tournament kicks off at 11 a.m. with a fabulous lunch courtesy of Buon Giorno Italian Specialty Foods and Wines. The shotgun start, four-person scramble tourney begins at noon and ends with appetizers, awards and raffle prizes at 5 p.m. Entry fees start at only $175.
Proceeds benefit the Degree of Honor Foundation and The Salvation Army Booth Brown House in St. Paul, which provides housing, counseling and other support to dozens of homeless youth.

Aug. 10 – Tom Scheuerman 6th Annual Memorial Golf Classic
Held at the Stillwater Country Club, this best-ball team tournament begins at 11:30 a.m. with a delicious buffet lunch. The golf action starts at noon, followed by a 6 p.m. cruise on the St. Croix River that includes an auction, dinner and guest speakers. Entry fee is only $150.
Proceeds benefit the St. Croix Valley Young Life program, and the many youth programs at the W. 7th Salvation Army in St. Paul.
