Salvation Army Employee Escapes Bridge Collapse
Salvation Army employee Dave Scharnhorst was just about the last car off the I-35W bridge before it collapsed into the Mississippi River Aug. 1. When the north end of the bridge gave out, it dropped his car at an incline too severe to climb on foot. He was only 2 car lengths away from serious injury or death. (read more)
