Kevin Love Donation

Wolves Forward Kevin Love Donates Coats to Harbor Light Shelter

Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love donated a pile of coats Dec. 21 to The Salvation Army Harbor Light Shelter in Minneapolis for distribution to people in need on Christmas Day.

The coats were given by the Twin Cities community as part of Love’s second annual coat drive, a partnership between Comcast, The Salvation Army and the Timberwolves.

“Now that I've been in Minnesota for awhile, I realize how cold it can get, and I'm fortunate to be in a position to help those in need stay warm this winter,” Love said.
“The Salvation Army has already donated more than 5,000 coats to families this winter, but this fantastic organization needs our help to continue reaching out to all those in need.”

“This is a timely donation considering the recent drop in temperatures,” said Major Darryl Leedom, commander of the Twin Cities Salvation Army. “The Salvation Army appreciates the efforts of Kevin Love and the many people who donated coats. Their generosity will help us keep the less fortunate warm as we head into the coldest months of the year.”

The Salvation Army also appreciates the efforts of Comcast, whose employees serve food at Harbor Light every week.
