Christmas Campaign Falls $1.6 Million Short
For the first time ever, the Twin Cities Salvation Army did not reach its Christmas Campaign goal. With year-end donations still trickling in, the Twin Cities Salvation Army is short $1.6 million. “Though this year’s goal was ambitious, it was definitely realistic, as last year’s campaign raised $11.2 million,” said Major Jeff Strickler, Commander of the Twin Cities Salvation Army. Mind-Boggling Tragedies
Remember that kettle donation you made last month? The Salvation Army is proud to report we used it to bless two families enduring mind-boggling tragedies. One family includes three young boys whose mother just died. The other is that of a father of six who was hit by a suspected drunken driver a few days before Christmas. Both stories illustrate how The Salvation Army is able to use your gift to fill specific needs for families in unique and harrowing circumstances.
