Hygiene Kit

Donations Needed: Hygiene, Household Items for Twin Cities Youth, Adults

Donations of hygiene products and household items are needed for men, women and youth served by the Twin Cities Salvation Army.

Budget hearings conducted last month revealed that hygiene kits (soap, toothpaste, etc.) are desperately needed at two Salvation Army facilities, while “Welcome Kits” (linens, kitchenware, etc.) are needed at two others. These four facilities serve everyone from homeless men and women to abandoned children.

Donating hygiene and/or welcome kits is a perfect activity for volunteer groups, churches and families. (For an example, click here.)

“This is a valuable, worthwhile endeavor with immeasurable results,” said Major Darryl Leedom, Commander of the Twin Cities Salvation Army. “This goes to show that demonstrating God’s love can be as easy as donating a tube of toothpaste.”

Below are short descriptions of each facility, and examples of items needed.
