The Salvation Army is collecting cell phones, shoes, books throughout Twin Cities

The Salvation Army is collecting new and gently used shoes, books and cell phones at 28 businesses throughout the Twin Cities metro area.
Collection bins will be out May 12 – 17 at coffeehouses, book stores, bakeries and cafés in Minneapolis, St. Paul and 14 suburbs.

Check out a complete list of locations.

The donations will benefit men receiving care at the Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) in Minneapolis, a free, long-term recovery program funded by Salvation Army Thrift Stores.

Donated shoes and books will be sold at Thrift Stores. Donated cell phones will be recycled.

Five participating cafés will sell Doughnut Girl Coffee, a new coffee brand that financially benefits The Salvation Army. These shops include The Coffee Bean Café, Shakopee; Hope Café (inside Hope Community Church), Lakeville; Munkabeans, Hopkins; Harvest Moon Coffeehouse, St. Louis Park; and Northwestern Book Stores, Burnsville.
