Grand Opening of Salvation Army-Owned
Coffee Shop/Boutique in Oakdale Jan. 14–15
Donations of gently used merchandise accepted Mon-Sat
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – January 13, 2011 – A grand opening for Dreamcoat Coffee, The Salvation Army’s new coffee shop and boutique in Oakdale, will be held Jan. 14–15. In addition to delicious coffee, homemade fare and great deals on quality used merchandise, the event will feature live music and free chair massages from Vibrant Life Center. The massages will be offered Friday 11 a.m.–2 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
Dreamcoat serves every coffee drink imaginable, oven-fresh bread, delicious desserts and hearty sandwiches, all for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The café features an in-house bakery, free Wi-Fi, daily live music and weekly Bible studies.
Attached to Dreamcoat is a boutique with clothes, books, collectibles, furniture and other quality used merchandise sold at recession-friendly prices. Donations of gently used merchandise are accepted during regular business hours. For a list of acceptable items, click here. All Dreamcoat and boutique sales fund the work of The Salvation Army.
“People who dine at Dreamcoat and buy at the boutique are not only filling their bellies and saving money on quality merchandise, they are helping The Salvation Army save lives,” said Major Darryl Leedom, commander of the Twin Cities Salvation Army.
Dreamcoat Cofee is located at 6060 50th St. N., just off Highway 36 in Oakdale. It is open Mon.-Thurs. 6:30 a.m.–7 p.m., Friday 6:30 a.m.–9:30 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.–9:30 p.m. and closed Sunday. For more information, stop by or call 651-779-7746.
