PRESS RELEASE

Salvation Army Serving on Scene
of St. Anthony Apartment Fire

February 13, 2009 – A Salvation Army mobile kitchen and crew are on the scene of a fire that broke out in a St. Anthony apartment building earlier this morning. Volunteers are serving food to emergency responders and firefighters after fire destroyed two units of the 76-unit apartment building, collapsing sections of the roof and forcing residents to evacuate.

The Salvation Army is on hand to offer further support to emergency personnel and residents as needed. For instance, The Salvation Army is providing a storage unit for one family who lost their apartment.
