Asian-Scandinavian Food – For Real? Try It Aug. 23
The Central Ave. Salvation Army in Minneapolis will hold its “Celebration of Heritage” event Aug. 23 with a 5:30 p.m. punchbowl reception and 6 p.m. dinner and program.
The dinner will feature fare from Jason Wheeler, executive chef of The Restaurant at Anderson Japanese Gardens in Rockford, Ill. Wheeler is know for his Asian-fusion cooking style, which blends pan-Asian cuisine with Scandinavian specialties.
Musical guest and high school student Chamara Rose will warm hearts with her captivating voice and lovable stage presence. She will lead in worship and perform some of her original music.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in a costume that demonstrates their heritage or a place they have visited.
