Brooklyn Park Salvation Army Receives $5,000 Grant
July 23, 2007 – The Salvation Army’s Northbrook Worship and Service Center in Brooklyn Park recently received a $5,000 grant from the Park Nicollet Foundation.
The money will be used to support the myriad of social services offered at Northbrook, including rent and utility bill assistance, clothing vouchers, food stamp application assistance and much more.
“We are thrilled to receive this grant from the Park Nicollet Foundation,” said Major Ed Wilson, Northbrook administrator. “Every dollar we get helps us change more lives.”
The Park Nicollet Foundation is the fund-raising arm of Park Nicollet Health Services, an 8,100-employee healthcare provider with 25 neighborhood clinics throughout the Twin Cities.
The Park Nicollet Foundation establishes deep roots in communities served by Park Nicollet Health Services and makes sure care reaches beyond clinic walls, according to its website.
