Salvation Army to Honor Police and
Fire Departments of North Metro Area
Appreciation Dinner Slated for September 11
MAPLEWOOD, Minn. – The Salvation Army will hold a service appreciation dinner Tuesday, Sept. 11 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the The Salvation Army Lakewood Worship and Service Center, 2080 Woodlynn Ave.
Up to 150 people can attend the free dinner, which will honor police and fire departments serving the cities of Maplewood, North St. Paul, Oakdale, White Bear Lake and Vadnais Heights. The event will celebrate local heroes with live music and food provided by Outback Steakhouse in Maplewood.
The event is available to local firefighters, police officers, their families and any community members who like to say “Thank you.”

“The Salvation Army is privileged to recognize the men and women who keep our communities safe,” said Major Don Tekautz, leader of the Maplewood Salvation Army. “We are honored to host this event and look forward to holding many more.”
The Salvation Army serves more than 200,000 people in the Twin Cities and is a safety net for those with no place to turn.
