Wells Fargo Holds Employee Food
Drive for The Salvation Army
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Wells Fargo is currently holding an employee food drive at nine of its Twin Cities metro area locations.
Bankers, administrative staff, investors and other professionals working for the multi-billion dollar financial company are helping fill dozens of containers with non-perishable food items that will be distributed at Salvation Army food shelves. The drive ends Nov. 7, 2007.
The idea to hold a food drive came from a group of employees planning holiday festivities.
“They felt that giving back to the community through an organization that is actively involved and ready to respond in times of need was appropriate,” said Claudia Avila, a Wells Fargo product manager who helped coordinate the food drive. “After analyzing various organizations in the Twin Cities, the team selected The Salvation Army as a conduit to help the less fortunate.”
The Salvation Army appreciates the kindness of Wells Fargo and its employees.
“Every holiday season our food shelf reserves begin to run low,” said Major Paul Fleeman, Commander of the Twin Cities Salvation Army. “The contributions made by Wells Fargo employees will go a long way toward feeding less fortunate families in the cold months ahead.”
The Salvation Army serves more than 200,000 people in the Twin Cities and is a safety net for those with no place to turn. We serve 1,200 hot meals every day and house more than 800 people every night. Donations can be made by mailing a check to 2445 Prior Ave, Roseville, MN 55113 or by clicking below.
