Kids Go Nuts Over Gift from Pearson’s Candy Co.
ST. PAUL, Minn. – December 21, 2007 – Pearson's Candy Co. helped brighten Christmas for dozens of Salvation Army youth on Dec. 20 by giving them candy and stuffed toys at a holiday party held at the St. Paul Citadel Salvation Army on West 7th St.
The stuffed toys, called Dudleydolls, are likenesses of the candy company’s mascot, Dudley P. Nutt.
St. Paul-based Pearson’s is the maker of such confection favorites as Pearson’s Nut Goodie and Pearson’s Salted Nut Roll.
“We’re so glad that our Dudleydolls may brighten the holidays for children within our own community,” said Pearson’s spokesperson Pam Van Kempen.
The Salvation Army serves more than 200,000 people in the Twin Cities and is a safety net for those with no place to turn. We serve 1,100 hot meals every day and house more than 700 people every night. Donations can be made by mailing a check to 2445 Prior Ave, Roseville, MN 55113 or by clicking below.
