Kevin Love Coat Drive:
Give Coats, Get Wolves Tickets
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – November 19, 2010 – Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love has again partnered with Comcast and The Salvation Army to host a winter coat drive to help people in need this holiday season.
The Kevin Love Coat Drive tips off today, when the Wolves host the Los Angeles Lakers at Target Center. Love is inviting all fans to bring new or gently used coats to any of eight metro-area drop-off locations, including the Target Center box office, now through Dec. 17. All donations support Salvation Army programs.
As a thank you to those who donate, Love has purchased lower-level tickets to the Wolves’ Dec. 22 game vs. the Utah Jazz. Fans will receive a pair of tickets to this game for each coat they donate (limit four tickets per family while supplies last). Love and The Salvation Army will be accepting coat donations at the following locations:
• Target Center Box Office (600 First Ave N.)
• Comcast - Brooklyn Park (8401 West Broadway Ave.)
• Comcast - Inver Grove Heights (5300 South Robert Trail)
• Comcast - Little Canada (2800 Rice Street, Suite 159)
• Comcast - Minneapolis (801 Plymouth Avenue N.)
• Comcast - Minnetonka (14404 Excelsior Blvd.)
• Comcast - Richfield (6505 Nicollet Ave. S.)
• Comcast - St. Paul (10 River Park Plaza)
To further support his coat drive, Love will be appearing at Best Buy in Oakdale on Dec. 7 from 6-7 p.m., accepting coats and signing autographs. Anyone donating a coat during Love's appearance will receive two lower-level tickets to the Wolves/Jazz game on Dec. 22.

“I realize how cold it can get in Minnesota, and I’m fortunate to be in a position to help those in need stay warm this winter,” Love said. “The Salvation Army has already donated many coats to families this fall, but this outstanding organization needs our help to continue reaching out to those in need.”
The Twin Cities Salvation Army serves more than 200,000 people a year through its 25 local centers of operation. Daily it serves 2,000 hot meals and shelters 850 people. More than 14,000 local volunteers help The Salvation Army provide a multitude of services, from child daycare to senior housing.
