PRESS RELEASE
Job-Search Expert Giving Seminar to Benefit
The Salvation Army
December 8, 2009 – Finding the job of your dreams could be as easy as donating $5 to The Salvation Army.
On Dec. 17, job-search expert Kevin Donlin will hold his popular seminar “Guerilla Job Search Secrets Revealed!” from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Hilton Hotel in Bloomington, 3900 American Boulevard. The cost of attending is a donation of $5 or more to The Salvation Army, payable when you register.
Donlin’s methods have been featured by The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Fortune Magazine and other news outlets.
His seminar includes topics such as résumé and cover letter writing, networking, LinkedIn tips and many other tools to get people hired fast, including a host of “guerilla” tactics that Donline says are highly effective.
“The average job search now lasts 28.5 weeks - the longest in more than 10 years - according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics," said Donlin, co-director of Guerrilla Job Search International, with offices in Edina. "That’s dire news for anyone looking for work this holiday season. Which is why I’m grateful for the opportunity to share these job-search tips with others while helping benefit The Salvation Army."
The Salvation Army appreciates Donlin's efforts.
"The Salvation Army applauds professionals using their skills to help our cause," affirmed Annette Bauer, Salvation Army PR Director. "Not only does this event encourage donations, but it associates our name with one of our focus areas - getting people back to work in rewarding and productive jobs. Our founder William Booth expressed these goals back in 1865 when he said, 'People must have food to eat, a place to sleep and something to do.'"
Seminar space is limited. For more information or to register, please visit www.putminnesotabacktowork.com
