‘Williams Wall’ Throwing Christmas Party
for 16 Families in Need

Minnesota Vikings defensive tackles Pat Williams and Kevin Williams giving gifts, holiday meal Dec. 22 at The Salvation Army

December 22, 2009 – It seems that Minnesota Vikings defensive tackles Pat Williams and Kevin Williams share more than the same last name. They also have really big hearts.

On Dec. 22 the pair will host a private Christmas party for 16 families in need.

At 5 p.m. the families will feast on a Christmas dinner. At 6 p.m. the Williamses will hand out Christmas gifts, sign autographs and pose for photographs.

“We at The Salvation Army pride ourselves in serving families during the Christmas season, but this effort by Pat and Kevin is beyond what our own resources allow,” said Major Darryl Leedom, commander of the Twin Cities Salvation Army. “This is a tremendous blessing indeed.”

Twelve of the 16 families are regularly served by The Salvation Army, with the remaining four served by Minneapolis-based Tubman, a family support center.

Dinner will be provided courtesy of Famous Dave’s and Noodles & Company. Baker’s Square will serve dessert and give the families whole pies to take home. Balloon Express in Minneapolis will provide decorations.
