RACE DETAILS
Everything you need to know about The MOST Amazing Race
What
Imagine up to 25 two-person teams racing around Minneapolis, solving clues to find various checkpoints. Once you get to the checkpoints, you must complete a task before moving on to the next checkpoint. These checkpoint challenges may test you mentally or physically or might just be downright silly.
The first team to sucessfully complete all of the challenges is the winner.
When
A qualifying event will be held at the Bierman Track and Field Stadium at the University of Minnesota the morning of July 24. The qualifying event begins at 10:00am, but teams need to be checked in by 9:45am.
The 20 teams that qualify will continue on to The MOST Amazing Race. Teams that do not qualify for the final race are welcome to volunteer that afternoon at one of the race challenge locations.
Qualified teams need to be checked in at the starting line at 1:00pm.
The starting and finish line will be at the end of the Stone Arch Bridge, located at West River Parkway and Portland Ave. Finish line festivities will begin at 5:30pm. For more details about race day, click here.
Why
The MOST Amazing Race is a great event, giving participants the chance to challenge themselves both physically and mentally while having a whole lot of fun. But more importantly, it is a fundraiser for The Salvation Army's Bed and Bread Club®, whose mission is to fight homelessness and hunger. View a short video on the Bed and Bread Club®.
