RICE COUNTY
Helping The Salvation Army is even easier this Christmas! Sign up online to bell ring in Faribault, Lonsdale or Northfield.
The Rice County Salvation Army Service Unit has three people coordinating our 2011 kettle campaign this year, making it easier for you to register to help others by ringing the bell. Throughout Rice County, the bell ringing campaign needs over 400 volunteers this holiday season.
Our three coordinators are Ed Little of Faribault, Nancy Baldwin of Lonsdale and Fred Rogers of Northfield. Shifts begin prior to Thanksgiving weekend and continue up to Christmas. There is nothing that brings more meaning to the holiday season than taking time to care for others.
Proceeds from the Salvation Army bell ringing campaign in Rice County support those in our county who are most in need. Programs in 2011 included dinners and holiday meals, summer camp, back-to-school shopping for area children with local law enforcement representatives, support of area elderly, food and gas vouchers, disaster relief and partnerships with area nonprofits.
If you have questions about your bell ringing shift, contact one of our kettle coordinators:
