RICE COUNTY
2009 Salvation Army Makes Signing Up to Help – Easier!
The Rice County Salvation Army Service Unit has three people coordinating our 2009 kettle campaign this year, making it easier for you to register to help others by ringing the bell. Throughout Rice County, the bell ringing campaign needs over 400 volunteers this holiday season to ring the bell.
Our three new coordinators are Ed Little of Faribault, Becky Judge of Northfield, and Nancy Baldwin of Lonsdale. Each coordinator is ready to sign you up for a bell ringing shift. Shifts begin prior to Thanksgiving weekend and continue up to Christmas. There is nothing that brings more meaning to the holiday season than taking time to care for others.
Proceeds from the Salvation Army bell ringing campaign in Rice County support those in our County, most in need. Programs in 2009 included dinners and holiday meats, summer camp, back-to-school shopping for area children with local law enforcement representatives, support of area elderly, food and gas vouchers, disaster relief and partnerships with area nonprofits.
Contact one of our new kettle coordinators: Northfield residents can email or call Beckie Judge (507) 645-9628. Faribault residents can email or call Ed Little (507) 210-9600, and Lonsdale residents may email or call Nancy Baldwin (507) 744-2440.
WE INVITE YOU TO JOIN US! We’re looking for board members and local volunteers for input, ideas and coordination. If you wish to give of your time, talent or treasure, call us at one of these numbers or click here to make a donation.
