It is two blocks from the downtown Nicollet Mall shopping area, just across the street from Loring Park and Minneapolis Community College and near a bus line. Booth Manor is an active, pleasant community offering bus service for grocery shopping and weekly visits from produce and dairy products vendors. A beautician offers her skills on a weekly basis. There are many recreational, educational, social and worship activities available. Booth Manor is truly a residence of distinction for the retiree. Contact Major Linda Yeck for more information.

Adult Day Center
The supportive environment of The Salvation Army Adult Day Centers help individuals maintain their maximum level of independence in the community, often delaying or entirely eliminating the need for nursing home placement. We promote participant wellness through an individualized plan of care and stimulating program of physical, social and recreational activity. The center also offers caregivers a much-needed respite with the security of knowing their loved one is being well cared for. The program is designed to meet the needs of adults 18 years and older who may be coping with a variety of issues.

These issues are addressed through:
• Recreational programming
The Activity Director plans a program designed to stimulate both mind and body.
• Health services
A nurse is available to work with the client and family to ensure a healthy and safe environment. The nurse will assist with the following: monitoring of vital signs and medications, personal care issues, behavior changes, activity level changes, nutritional needs, and other health concerns.
• Social services
Social workers provide case management and information and referral for various community services. They also assist with the admissions process by doing an initial assessment, helping clients set up transportation and assisting with financial forms. Social workers also facilitate a caregiver support group that provides assistance in coping with the difficulties of caring for an aging parent.
